Been playing slide guitar on and off since about 2014 focusing mainly on studying the music of Mississippi Fred McDowell and a few other North Hill and delta style musicians who performed lived from the 20's until the 80 -90's. Slide master MIchael Messer was kind enough to get together with me in 2014-6 for what is now referred to as the "cuppa sessions" and he showed me most of the tunes in the earlier 2014-17 selections.
Right hand skills from from an earlier interest in piedmont style with an alternating bass in standard served the study effort well.
I've been working hard on vocals and dropping the regularity of alt bass playing towards a more monotonic irregular bass that allows a certain freedom for the vocal.
